Carswell advises Janes that he has enclosed a Notice of Intention of Subject A-9803 to apply for Pardon and Restoration and advises of progress made by Subject for the two years while under his supervision explaining that he urges his worthy parolees to regain their citizenship.

Gordon, Administrator, Interstate Parole Compact, Sacramento 14, California, from Howard Carney, Administrator (by Betty Christian, Chief, Parole Division), Department of State, Texas, dated August 11, 1953. Christian advises Gordon regarding a monthly report and the recommedation for Final Discharge for Subject 17095. Typewritten at the bottom of the page is correspondence from B Christian [Betty Christian] to Mr. Carswell expressing her appreciation for his letter of recommendation for the above Subject and for his assistance.

Hill outlines his business itinerary and discribes the bad effects that the war in Korea is having on many businesses.
