Mr. Duff had nothing definite at the time but informed Couch that they might have an opening within a short time. White expresses his appreciation for the letter of December 21 from Carswell in which he had enclosed a letter from Warden Swenson. He explains the decision of the Board regarding the reason Subject 108,345 must return to the Texas Prison System to continue his service.

Sayles discusses a conference that Abilene was invited to as they will likely have a railroad as part of the Cross Plains extension. Sayles believes there is a good chance of securing a twenty-five year lease for the railroad.

Mineral deed certifying the sale of a 1/16 interest in the oil, gas, and minerals of a tract of land in Comanche County, Texas from R. H. Reaves to Perry Sayles. This document has correction in red pencil.

Promissory note from R. H. Reaves and Perry Sayles to The City National Bank in Eastland, Texas, in the amount of $1000.00 with an interest rate of ten percent until the note is paid. A handwritten note on the front reads, "Paid 4/11/19 [..]."

Handwritten note listing the prices of lumber order by R. R. S. Lundry from July 18, 1905 to November 30, 1905. The note is on Citizens Lumber Company letterhead and is dated January 11, 1909.

Letter from Henry Sayles to a tax collector in Roby, Texas inquiring about purchasing land that may partially be located in Fisher county, expressing the desire to purchase the land and pay any taxes necessary on the Fisher county section. On the back of the letter is a stationary header from Buie and Hanna's Land Agency, upon which several section and certification numbers for different pieces of land have been written in pencil along with a calculated price.

Receipt for taxes paid to San Jacinto County by Sayles & Sayles for the year, 1911. The receipt includes the assessed value of the property in San Jacinto County and an inventory of taxes paid.
