Caption: "Dr. Dan Proctor, president of the Oklahoma College for Women in Chickasha, presented a Bachelor of Music/Education degree to Miss Frances Hollingsworth, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Hollingsworth of OKC, via the radio during the college's 38th annual commencement exercises on June 2. Miss Hollingsworth was injured in an auto accident a few days before commencement and was unable to attend, so the program was broadcast over radio station KWCO so that she might hear from her OKC hospital bed. As Dr. Proctor read her name to the audience and over the airwaves, she was simultaneously handed her diploma at the hospital by her mother, who is also an OCW alumnus."
