On the back of the letter is a stationary header from Buie and Hanna's Land Agency, upon which several section and certification numbers for different pieces of land have been written in pencil along with a calculated price.

A letter written to Mr. T. N. Carswell, Abilene, Texas from M. T. Wilson, Fisher County, Roby, Texas, dated April 11, 1944. Wilson requests to be instructed regarding how to keep records for men forwarded for preinduction examination. He advises that as it is now the IV-F classification is the only indication that the men have been up for examination. The letter is typewritten on SELECTIVE SERVICE SYSTEM letterhead bearing stamp of Local Board No. 1, Fisher County, Roby, Texas.
