The purpose of the meeting was to convey the community's insight on the military value of Naval Surface Warfare Center at Indian Head, Maryland and its tenant commands. They believe that the facility is a national asset, has a good geographic location (to include for homeland defense), has an established environmental footprint, and has cross service collaboration and jointness. The town of Indian Head actively supports the base.
