The Articles of Incorporation for the West Texas Baptist Sanitarium, in Abilene, Texas. The articles detail that "C. M. Caldwell, J. D. Sandefer and George S. Anderson form a private corporation by the name of The West Texas Baptist Sanitarium in Abilene, in the County of Taylor and State of Texas the 26th day of February, A. D., 1923. The third page includes: "George S. Anderson as Chairman, and T. N. Carswell, as Secretary certify at a meeting of the Board of Trustees held May 19, 1936 the changed name of the corporation from WEST TEXAS BAPTIST SANITARIUM to HENDRICK MEMORIAL HOSPITAL." The articles are signed on May 9, 1936.

Powell advises Carswell of an enclosed cafeteria card which is to in a small way say "thank you" for his continuous service and acknowledges that Carswell is the only living Charter Member of the Board of Trustees.

Jenkens acknowledges his receipt of the letter from Carswell, comments on the report made by Carswell on the Dallas meeting and expresses his relief that Carswell was made vice chairman since the work requires a "hard hitter". He comments on his name being off the list of active deacons and that he looks forward to the day when Carswell is back on the active list.

A memorandum from L. M. Fellbaum, Major, Q. M. C., Policy Supervisor to Mr. T. N. Carswell dated June 9, 1943. Fellbaum instructs Carswell regarding itinerary additions for Tom Green County Local Board No. 2 instructing Carswell to visit that board between his work at Irion and Concho Counties. Fellbaum adds a handwritten note complimenting the average number of reports by Carswell as 200% and to keep up the good work.

Carswell, Chairman, Taylor County Parole Board, dated December 9, 1955. Carswell reports on the irregular behavior of Subject 95040 and advises of a call from a Texas Ranger in Breckenridge regarding the "whereabouts" of Subject.

Blackburn advises of the background and unusual situation of a subject from the Taylor County Jail and requests supervision by Williams after the transfer of Subject from Taylor County to El Paso County into the custody of her son. Additional correspondence typewritten at the bottom of page is written to T. N. Carswell by Ruby Blackburn which requests that he transfer his file on Subject to Mr. Williams.
