Latin Americans of Mexican descent were being segregated during lunchtime at the warehouse. This was a violation of the segregation laws of the State of Texas.

Herrera also requests the names of the president and secretary of every active Texas Council so that he can contact them and offer his services to help the movement of LULAC.

Also handwritten on this copy is an indication that the same press release was sent to the Houston Press and Houston Chronicle. It is an announcement that LULAC President General Raoul A. Cortez will be in Houston for a meeting called in his honor to give a report on the effects of the Segregated Mexican School judicial decision.
