Photograph used for a story in the Daily Oklahoman newspaper. Caption: "An unpleasant era ended in Oklahoma City Saturday as ceremonies marked the city's role in a new era. Those who didn't actively participate in the old era didn't miss it. For thousands of other persons, its demise should bring bring a loud, "Good riddance." As of 11:03 a.m. Saturday, trains no longer will necessarily hold up all motorists at the Reno and Byers feed-off of I.H. 35 and I.H. 40. The passing of this memorable though unloved situation should bring tears. Now, the Draper Expressway will provide a sky ride over the railroad tracks for 1.77 miles. Eventually, it will take motorists clear to Yukon as I. H. 40. It was a teeth-chattering 29 degrees at dedication eremonies Saturday morning, but chances were Stanley Draper didn't notice that at all. A mayor, a governor, a lot of old cars, a couple of fire trucks, a high school band and several hundred citizens turned out for the event held at the site of a dedicatory maker in a grassy plaza at S Robinson, just south of the elevated expressway. (photo tag: Graceful maker stands on Draper Expressway dedication site.)"
