Evaluation of Tributyl Phosphate in Jet Mixing Columns as a Solvent for Uranium Extraction From Slurry-Type Ore Feeds

Technical report outlining the physical operability of 30% tributyl phosphate in a hydrocarbon dilutent for the extraction of uranium from more feed slurries. Operability had been satisfactorily demonstrated in jet mixing columns at the pilot plant of the Mallinckrodt Chemical Works. [From Abstract]

Effect of Radiation on Television Equipment : Final Report

The following report follows a test with the purpose of determining the effect upon image fidelity by exposing a television camera to high intensity radiation over an extended period. Provided later in the report are notes on the design of the utiliscope camera used for these tests due to notable design features.

Studies of the Metabolism of Certain Fission Products and Plutonium (open access)

Studies of the Metabolism of Certain Fission Products and Plutonium

A short survey of some of the metabolic relationships of the elements, cerium, colurbium, plutonium, strontium, yttrium, and zirconium is presented. While the results of internally deposited radium have not been investigated in these experiments, they have been extensively studies by others. Because so much is known of its biological effects, it has been included in this historical survey.
