Davis and McCarter describe to Gates, that within the past four years the Dallas Museum of Art has been in their consortium, comprised of five museums and six school districts, for discipline-based art education and implementation. Majority of their funding comes from the Getty Center for Education in the Arts, as the Center represents the comprehensive approach to art education. Davis and McCarter write that while they had a pleasure working with Gail Davitt and Aileen Horan, they are looking forward to their work with Gates.
