A letter written to Mr. James Welsh, Secretary to the Governor, Sacramento, California, from T. N. Carswell, Chairman, Taylor County Parole Board, dated August 6, 1951. The letter discusses a request by Carswell for application forms for a commutation of sentence or pardon for two subjects.

A letter written to Mr. William L. McGill, Executive Secretary, Executive Department, Austin, Texas from T. N. Carswell, Chairman, Taylor County Parole Board, dated August 6, 1951. Carswell advises McGill regarding the conditional pardon of Subject advising that it should be revoked in reference to his misconduct while on parole thereby forfeiting any claim for clemency noting that the public will be best served by his return to prison.

Anderson issues an invitation to trustees to attend the service as E. M. Collier receives an honorary doctorate degree from Hardin-Simmons University.

Carswell expands upon a suggestion made by Prather regarding the creation of a permanent organization for conservative Democrats of Dallas County by suggesting the creation of a statewide organization and establishing Dallas county as the headquarters. He offers congratulations to Prather and Ed Drake for their "great victories in May".
