This land contains soils including Soil Survey 45-BC Nobseat – Brownfield fine sand, and 45-D Nobseat fine sand on a Deep Sand Range site. The vegetation on this range includes sand sage and scattered shinnery. The back of the photograph proclaims, "Soil Survey. Soil Survey 45-BC Nobseat – Brownfield fine sand, 45-D Nobseat fine sand. Virgin area in samd [sic] sage and scattered shinnary [sic]. Granite mountains of Kiowa County are in the background. Deep Sand Range Site."
