Patent for a new and improved velocipede. This design "has relation to that class of velocipedes in which the rider is suspended within a large wheel impelled by a frictional contact between the inner periphery of the same and the driving wheel" (lines 8-12). With this design, "by the increased size of wheel, not only is speed gained, but the same may be propelled with greater ease over rough or smooth roads and with greater comfort to the rider, in that the jolt is less, and yet at the same time all the benefits arising from this class of exercise are obtained" (lines 27-34).

Patent for elevating truck equipped with a conveyor belt powered by an electric motor. The device is "easily moved about and placed in position by one or two men" (lines 29–30), but powerful enough to lift bales of cotton (or other objects) weighing up to 600 pounds, includes illustrations.

Patent for an improved apparatus for treating hydrocarbons. This apparatus is for treating comparatively heavy petroleum and other hydrocarbon oils and their distillates and derivatives, in order to produce from such heavy oils a large yield of gasoline or other light, easily volatile liquids. This apparatus will be a safe and efficient way to produce large yield of gasoline and light hydrocarbon liquids from heavy oils and will be free from trouble arising from the accumulation of carbon.

Patent for a new and improved moistener for stamps and envelopes. This design "is to provide apparatus for moistening stamps and adhesive envelopes; and it consists in certain improvements in that class of stamp-moisteners in which a roller carrying an endless belt of cloth is journaled on a box or a cup containing water, into which the endless band projects" (lines 8-14).

Patent for an advertising machine that is motor-operated and will display a succession of slides that can be shown during the day or at night. It includes a light to help show slides to the public, a shutter that automatically and intermittently displays slides, a lens for projecting slides on a distant screen, and a master slide to be shown with each slide. The patent includes illustrations.

Patent for a stamp rack that is designed specifically for bread stamps and carries a spool of stamps in convenient reach of the user or operator. This rack provides the operator with the flexibility of not having to hold the stamps in one hand while he places the stamp on the bread.

Patent for a new and improved riveting machine. This design "consist[s], essentially, of an upright-frame having a vertically-movable driving-rod therein, a vertically-separable set loosely mounted upon the lower end of the driving rod, and a stationary upright removably mounted in the frame beneath the driving-rod and set, [and] said upright having a spring-actuated sleeve extending above the upper end thereof" (lines 66-74).

Patent for a new and improved power device for baling presses. This design "relates to certain new and useful improvements in power devices for baling-presses of that class wherein is employed a disk rigidly fixed to the shaft of the crank and a disk loosely mounted on said shaft; and it has for its object to improve upon prior constructions of this character. [This design] hinge[s] the lugs on the loosely mounted disk, and, preferably, place a spring between the said lug and the disk, so that either the weight of the lug or the force of the spring will project or suspend the lug" (lines 13-24).

Patent for a "longitudinally extensible" (lines 12-13) bed. The extension is stored underneath the main portion of the bed when not in use and allows for the bed to be covered completely with netting to protect against mosquitos. Illustrations included.

Patent for an advertisement sign with a translucent display band that illuminates different sections of letters, numbers, or figures, in various colors, giving the appearance of animation.

Patent for improved cotton-bale tie with a small s-shaped bar and cross-ribs on the bands.

Patent for new and useful improvements in rail braces. Provides the inexpensive manufacture of more durable rail braces and also improves bracing to hold the track in line the full length of the rail.

Patent for improvements in vending machines including the simple and efficient delivery of vending articles and improvement in separation of articles served.

Patent for improvement in blow-off cocks used in locomotives and steam boilers, including an illustration.

Patent for non-refillable bottles which can be filled and emptied easily with inexpensive construction. Instead of a stopper, a bottleneck pattern can be used which is efficient and safer.

Patent for a new and improved wrench. This design "relates particularly to a combined pipe and nut wrench, and has for its object to provide a wrench of the class described which can be quickly changed to an ordinary wrench . . . [the] invention consists of a shank having a rigid jaw attached thereto, a movable jaw adjustable on the shank and an eccentrically-headed lever pivoted to the rear end of the movable jaw and bearing on the shank adapted to separate the rear end of the movable jaw and said shank to throw the forward end of the movable jaw closer to the rigid jaw" (lines 7-22).

Patent for improvement in cotton-gins, including illustrations.

Patent for a mud guard for two-wheeled vehicles such as bicycles and motorcycles. The purpose is to prevent mud or dirt from spattering on the rider.

Patent for a new and improved wrench. This design "has for its object to provide a tool especially adapted for a pipe-wrench, but also capable of use as a monkey-wrench. A further object of the invention is to construct a wrench with practically two handles, one of which is capable of use as a lever to disengage the jaws from the pipe and to adjust the upper jaw to and from the lower jaw" (lines 8-16).

Patent for "a new and useful Spoke-Tightener" (lines 5-6) and adjuster, including illustration.

Patent for a marking or tallying device which is activated by putting pressure on one end. It is designed for marking lumber.

Patent for wheels in which spring-spokes are utilized to provide resilience. Provides design in which spokes are curved to correspond with the curvature of the hub allowing fastening to the rim.
