Ray as in need of institutional care and requests assistance in locating his family. The reverse side includes business letterhead of Little Tuffy Mfg. Co. A Division of Abilene Machine Co., 1342 Pine Street, Abilene, Texas and bears Assurance Opaque Parchment watermark.

A letter written to T. N. Carswell from Sarah Anna Simmons Crane, dated June 5, 1960. Crane acknowledges the receipt of the letter from Carswell and expresses how good it was to hear from him. She advises of having a severe cold when his letter came and having finally cashed the check, which was a wonderful gesture and gift. Crane advises that she used the money to see a show at the Music Hall, for a dinner at The Adams, that she saw 'Bye Bye Birdie', " a refreshing new very entertaining musical". She advises that New York is changed, that the old charm is gone and in its place a "bright, exciting new city". Crane advises that she use what money is left to be a guest of Carswell. Crane advises that the most treasured part of his fine letter is his expression of gratefulness to her Father, that Carswell was a great favorite of his, and to her Grandfather and Grandmother.

A letter written to Committee Members for Hendrick Memorial Hospital, Abilene, Texas from T. N. Carswell, dated June 5, 1952. The letter includes a notification by Carswell of a Committee meeting to be held on June 12 and a list of ideas pertaining to permanently recording names of contributors to Hendrick Memorial Hospital.

A letter written to the State Director of Selective Service, Austin, Texas from Floyd County Local Board, J. M. Willson, Chairman, Floydada, Texas, dated June 5, 1943. Willson makes a request for a waiver on a registrant classified 1-A by the Floyd County Board citing his dishonorable discharge from Jefferson Barracks, Missouri, December 16, 1941. Handwritten notation advising of no answer and dated September 25, 1944.

A letter written to Mrs. Pittman, Clerk, El Paso County Local Board No. 3, El Paso, Texas from T. N. Carswell, CAS dated June 5, 1944. Carswell advises Mrs. Pittman, as per his promise, that he talked with Judge Bennis in reference to securing help for Lt. Fuller.

A letter addressed to Mr. Walter A. Gordon, Administrator, Sacramento 14, California (Attn: Walter T. Stone) from Howard Carney (by Betty Christian, Chief, Parole Division), Austin, Texas, dated June 5, 1953. Christian advises Stone regarding a monthly report with a recommendation for a Full Pardon and Restoration. A second correspondence typewritten at the bottom of the page to Mr. Carswell from B C [Betty Christian] is an expression of appreciation by Christian for the supervision of Subject by Carswell.

A letter written to Major T. N. Carswell, from Arthur B. Knickerbocker, Major, Inf., Commanding 34th Bn.,TGD, Odessa, Texas, dated June 5, 1941. Knickerbocker expresses his appreciation for the manner and attitude shown by Carswell during the Induction Inspection and compliments the talk he made describing it as very effective.

Letter from M. A. Spoonts to Henry Sayles discussing the Sante Fe Railway Extensions missing Abilene in its plans. General Attorny Spoonts goes on to assure Mr. Sayles that this is not true, and to reach out to Mr. Harris, who is the president of the Burlington, Colorado & Southern Railway and Forth Worth & Denver Railway.
