Document of an article in Kibbitz from Elaine regarding how the Green Jackets at North Texas State University are now becoming a coed organization. While this news was a shock to many, the decision was heavily supported by others with unanimous approval. The purpose of creating the club to become coed was to create a more unifying campus environment, which is also beneficial to the Green Jackets as well. The application for the Green Jackets is shown on later pages along with other miscellaneous aspects of a newspaper.

The National Museum of the Pacific War presents an interview with Afton Keeton. Keeton joined the Navy in early 1942. He completed Hospital Corps School, and served as a Pharmacist’s Mate. He volunteered for Submarine School. From 1944 through the end of the war, Keeton worked in the sick bays aboard USS Seadragon (SS-194) and USS Tilefish (SS-307). He shares numerous anecdotes of his work aboard the submarines, though does not go into detail of where they traveled through the Pacific. Keeton continued his service after World War II, and retired in February of 1972.

Interview with schoolteacher and community activist Carol Riddlesperger from Denton, Texas. In the interview, Riddlesperger discusses her experiences concerning the activities of the Denton Christian Women's Inter-Racial Fellowship during the 1960s and 1970s. She also comments on segregation in Denton, the desegregation of public schools and public facilities, street paving in the African-American section of Denton, her decision to run for the Denton school Board, tutoring program, and the jobs program.
