Dinky and herself were going to plant a garden, but now have to wait because of the weather. Birdie visits Mrs. Emmers and her baby. She invites them to a birthday meal for Birdie. She asks about her flowers. She talks about the grippe and a new disease spotted fever. Several people have already died from the spotted fever. Tobe and Florence had a new baby.
