Letter from John B. Ward to Frank La Croix at the S. D. Myres Saddle Company responding to an order for a dummy 4" Colt Diamondback and a 4" Diamondback. The letter is typed on Colt Industries letterhead and there are a number of handwritten notes and doodles on the page.

Paperwork for an order of a plain, black A166 sight guard from the S. D. Myres Saddle Co. by Francis Duclos. The invoice is printed on green paper and lists the item, a handling charge, and the receipt of payment; a copy on yellow paper has the prices marked out and is labeled "packing list." Both pages are in an envelope printed with an S. D. Myres logo in the upper-left corner, addressed to Duclos, which is stamped and postmarked Dec. 3, 1975.

Letter to Lieutenant Colonel Charles R. Griggs from his wife, Ingrid, back home. Ingrid tells him that she has just finished "painting the upstairs bathroom" and that it was exhausting work. Finally she tells him: "Be sure you don't let your lecherous eyes linger on anybody keep if all for me."

Envelope from a letter sent to Captain Charles R. Griggs of the 49th Armored Infantry Division in the 8th Armored Division. This letter was sent to the postmaster in New York City, New York.

Extract from an official military document containing the names and ranks of men in the 8th Armored Division and their new assignments to different battalions. Captain Charles R. Griggs was assigned to the 49th Armored Infantry Battalion, and the list continues on the back side and the page attached; the subheading shows which battalion, company, platoon, etc. the men underneath will belong too.

Certificate presented to Charles R. Griggs by the United States Army appointing him to the temporary rank of corporal of "Company C, 58th Inf. Tng. Bn." The rest of the text explains that he shall adequately perform the duties of that rank and be obedient to order given to him that a corporal must follow.
