A form letter from George Mahon, dated May 3, 1951. Mahon discourses on the MacArthur controversy and advises that Acheson should have resigned many months ago. He speaks of his concern for the country stating that he hopes they can get their feet on the ground as a nation and unify efforts toward building up the national defense program and towards preventing World War III. Mahon affirms his need for the prayers and advice of the people during these trying days. P. S. "As to our spending policies, we must avoid exhausting ourselves."
