In regards of Janice Wiggins, Visual Arts Special, Dallas Public Schools and her contract with North Texas Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts, hoping that she could be under an extended contract through June 14 - 25, 1993 to finish work she has started with three of her art specialists in planning the 1993 Dallas Institute. The Dallas Institute is a complex staff development experience for classroom teachers and art specialists in the district. Included in the letter is a detailed list of Wiggin's responsibility and her expected goals. At the end of the letter Davis and McCarter are excited to consider an interactive television connection with Dallas schools on June 21, 1993 and that Dr. Wilson, cross site evaluator for the Getty Center will be observing the distance learning project.

In regards to having to cancel a planned site visit for April due to scheduling conflict with the Trust to work on the FY94 budget. Rosenberg writes that she'll make a planned site visit to the Fort Worth institute sometime in the summer and will let them know by May when those dates will be.

In regards of Dallas participation in the North Texas Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts. McCarter writes that after reviewing their budget they have found that they will be able to fund one team from DISD for the first year at the Institute. After that one year they are going to discuss the re-entry of Dallas into the five year plan after discussing with the Getty Center about more funding. McCarter hopes to meet up with Dunn to discuss finer details in an upcoming meeting.

In regards to a meeting Lindsey had with Cason in discussion Lindsey was able to offer assistance and recommendations to video tapes for Cason's planning of the upcoming institute. Lindsey has loaned out the video tapes and writes that she doesn't expect them any time before July and hopes that Cason will be interested in them.

A letter from Luis Peon-Casanova, Producer / Director at Nebraska ETV Network, to Jack Davis, co-director of North Texas Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts. The letter is in regards to the work that the everyone has put into for the teleconference collaboration. Per a letter of agreement the University of Nebraska Television (NETV) will reimburse the Institute for Visual Arts a fix amount of two-thousand dollars for the uplinks, facilities and personnel for rehearsal and broadcast.

A letter from W. Dwaine Greer, Director of IVAE, to William McCarter, co-director of North Texas Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts. The letter will serve as the contract as an art education consultant to the Getty NDN Project, Improving Instruction in Visual Arts Education (IVAE). The letter states that Davis will have to abide by the criteria and procedures set for art education consultants and be available for consulting. Greer needs McCarter to sign and date the letter in the space provided to signify his understanding and agreement of the contents.
