Patent for "mosquito-net frames which are made adjustable, so that they may be extended over the bed or folded compactly, according to the requirements of use." (Lines 8-11) Includes instructions and illustrations.

Patent for a new and improved baling press. This design consists in "the combination, with the follower-screw, the worm and worm-shaft, the combined worm-gear and nut, and the base-plate having a peripheral ledge . . . of the plate having bearings for said worm shaft and an annular portion which encircles said base-plate, and the bolts which pass through both such annular portion and base-plate for securing them together and to the base-timbers of the press" (lines 73-82).

Patent for "an organized machine adapted to compress charges of cotton-seed meal into cakes of sufficient solidity to bear handling and removing to the press which expresses the oil from the meal, and to carry said cakes from the point where they are compressed to a point or points in convenient proximity to the press or presses which express the meal" (lines 8-16).

Patent for a new and improved artificial-stone block. This design "consists in the particular formation of the protuberances by which interlocking joints or seams of the building-blocks are attained, the object of which is to so form the prolific protuberances of said blocks as to permit joining them in close proximity on all the sides or faces of the seam, to reduce the binding material for the same and increase the strength of the same" (lines 14-22).

Patent for an improved and inexpensive railroad cattle-guard that "can be readily secured to the road-bed of a railroad, as well as easily removed therefrom, as in case of needed repair, or for other purposes" (lines 19-22). The invention provides an uneven surface for the cattle to walk on.

Patent for a simply-constructed rotary, steam-powered engine that minimizes friction and noise, and for which wear is automatically compensated. It is "capable of running at a very low or high speed without subjecting the parts to any unusual strains or wear" (lines 16-18). One lever controls the steam supply and can reverse the movement of the engine cutting off.

Patent for "an improvement in pneumatic cotton-conveyers, particularly with relation to means for putting the exhaust-pipe which leads to the elevator in communication with either of a series of intake-pipes at will and for relieving the partial vacuum caused by the operation of the exhaust-fan at will." (lines 8-14)
