C., dated June 2, 1960. Archer expresses his appreciation for the check from Carswell and for his kind and helpful letter. Archer confirms the problem before them as exceedingly difficult, that it must be handled with "the most consumate skill" advising that "there are those standing ready to kill us off if they can".
