The writer discusses the bias in Texas against large railroad corporations and believes towns should build railroads to protect themselves from such. The two agree that Texas money should be invested in Texas railroads and the writer states some towns need these for distribution of merchandise. The author believes it is the best time to pass a code of railroad laws.

In order for appropriations to be made for certain items brought forth by the Board of Dental Examiners, the clause requires the licensing in Texas of dentists who are qualified for dentistry in the U. S. Army, Navy, Air Force, or in other states and territories.

A letter written to Mr. T. N. Carswell, Abilene, Texas, from Glenn L. Archer, Executive Director, Protestants and Other Americans United for Separation of Church and State, Washington 6, D. C., dated June 2, 1960. Archer expresses his appreciation for the check from Carswell and for his kind and helpful letter. Archer confirms the problem before them as exceedingly difficult, that it must be handled with "the most consumate skill" advising that "there are those standing ready to kill us off if they can".

A letter written to Mr. T. N. Carswell, Chairman, Taylor County Parole Board, from Cecil F. Poole, Secretary, Governor's Office, Sacramento, California, dated June 2, 1959. Poole acknowledges the receipt of the letter from Carswell requesting a pardon be granted for Subject 17095. Poole advises that the application is denied.

A letter addressed to Judge C. M. Caldwell, Abilene, Texas, from Jeff Davis, Executive Secretary, Unted Texas Drys, dated June 2, 1941. Davis discusses the injunction suit expected against the enforcement of the bill just passed and quotes from a telegram received from Judge C. A. Paxton, Chief Supervisor of the Texas Liquor Control Board, advising that injunction was not applicable to this phase of the law.
