Minutes for December 2, 2004 Texas Daily Newspaper Association Board of Directors' Meeting at the Headliner's Club in Austin, Texas. The members in attendance of the meeting were, Donnis Baggett, Larry Walker, Jeremy Halbreich, Wesley R. Turner Gary Borders, Bob Carlquist, Buddy King, Charles Moser, Doug Toney, Phil Berkebile, Ken Whalen and Darla Thompson. President Donnis Bagget opened the meeting and read announcements to the committee members.

Letter from Ken Whalen to Jeremy L. Halbreich on October 2, 2006 with the subject 2007 Board Elections. The letter is in regards to the beginnings of the TDNA board of directors nomination process with enclosed information and review timetable schedule detailing the procedure process. Whalen states that Halbreich has the responsibility to naming the nomination committee and has included a list of committees since 1990.

Due to the significance of a full-staff, Baggett states that it is important to fill the two board positions immediately. As President of TDNA, Baggett has nominated two individuals to fill the board openings with the boards approval and to respond with their decision.

A ballot for Texas Daily Newspaper Associations members to serve on the Board of Directors. The remaining members must either vote for on the the officials listed or suggestion a new nomination. The form must be returned no later than November 15, 2005.

Letter from Darla Thompson to Larry Walker and Donnis Baggett on November 2, 2005 with the subject Nominating Committee Info. Thompson has attached four letters to the nomination committee with information pertaining to them and their responsibilities for serving on the board.

A notice from the Texas Daily Newspaper Associations to their members with information on how to offer substitute nominations for members on the board of directors. Member newspaper in good standing may submit nominations other than those made by the nominating committee, however, if no nominations other than those offered by the committee are received within the time frame, the directors must elect from those listed.

Larry Rose, president and publisher of the Corpus Christi Caller-Times is retiring, and Jack Pate, president and publisher of the San Angelo Standard-Times is moving to Indiana. As President of TDNA, Baggett has nominated two individuals to fill the board openings with the boards approval.

Letter from Darla Thompson, TDNA's secretary, to Patrick Birmingham, Matt Oliver and Doug Toney on November 2, 2007 with the subject New Award Committee. The letter is in regards to TDNA's July board meeting where the three man said they'd create a committee to make a new award to be presented each year at the convention that might encourage more members to attend.
