Thanking him for graciously agree to be chair of the Advisory Committee for the North Texas Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts. Davis and McCarter writes that being a member of the advisory committee they will periodically review the activities of the Institute and serve as liaison between the community and the Institute, which serves as stepping stone towards comprehensive visual arts program being integrated in school districts. Included in the letter are details about what to expect from being a committee member and the types of meetings they hope to have during the following year. Davis and McCarter write that they are excited about the opportunity to improve the quality of visual arts for students and develop a more informed audience. The letter states that enclosed are a list of people who have been invited to participate as committee members as well as a packet of materials that were sent to them. Reynolds says that they do not expect all costs to be covered by the Getty Center but are informing them of their estimated costs.

Enclosed in the letter to Burton, Grisson has included some charitable accounts that might be interested in granting awards to the program as well as a grant application information page.

Electronic Artstrands by Guy Hubbard, Indiana University. A document on Electronic Artstrands, a program designed to permit students to print the text of any lesson that interests them, making the purchase of a textbook unnecessary. The electronic program also makes provision for students to build personal files to store images that appeal to them.

The memo is in regards to the written report on the North Texas Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts summer institute and the spring implementation visit, the full report will be available in the future but they wanted to provide an overview of observations during their visitation. Included in the summary are suggestions and recommendations from the issues they have observed and deemed to be rectified.

The memo is in regards to the special Getty-Sponsored two-week summary staff development discipline-based art education inservice for July 1990. A free satellite video tele-conference on Art For All will be broadcast nationwide downlinks May 15, 1990. Included in the memo is the flyer which gives more details about the conference.

Stating their disappointment for the schedule conflict that prevents him from being able to participate in NTIEVA, North Texas Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts, 1993 Summer Institute Administrator's Day. As such they are inviting Woolery to participate in an Administrator's Day for Dallas I.S.D. at the Meadows Museum at SMU and then the new wing of the Dallas Museum of Art. Their primary goal is to introduce NTIEVA to the new directors of the museum and introduce them to the DISD administrators. McCarter, Davis and Reynolds would like Woolery to present a greeting during the introductions of the day, and are having Janice Wiggins working with his secretary to schedule a day for this event in allowance of other key administrators to attend.
