Campos is Pinedo's campaign manager and is asking Herrera to give the supporting or closing nomination speech. "In your hands you have the future of LULAC." Campos also writes to catch up and let Herrera know of how he is doing in Lubbock, Texas. "I am doing o.k. I got two secretaries. Not bad, eh Johnny [...] You know yourself Johnny...that when the people of Mexican descent need us, sometimes we have to sacrifice our personal life in order to help those who mostly need help."
