Prince advises Herrera to make a thorough investigation of Charles L. Belfi to determine whether or not he was qualified to serve as General Manager of a radio station. Prince thinks Herrera should also authorize John H. Barron to proceed on the new frequency because of the conflict with Mexia.

Letter from Percy Foreman to Tony Gutierrez on behalf of Alfred Cantu to reimburse Gutierrez of the remaining portion of money given to Cantu to purchase vegetables.

A blind carbon copy sent to John J. Herrera of a letter to Jacob I. Rodriguez of The Pan American from Pauline R. Kibbe, Executive Secretary of the Good Neighbor Commission of Texas dated September 1, 1944. This letter was written in response to an article in The Pan American reprinting an editorial in the Houston Post about discrimination in Texas. The Good Neighbor Commission plan "Community Organization for Inter-American Understanding" is referenced.

A letter to John J. Herrera from Manuel G. Vela, Treasurer General of the League of United Latin American Citizens of Laredo, Texas dated March 1, 1946. This is a request for payment of a balance due on ads placed by the Houston LULAC Council #60 in the LULAC News, outstanding membership fees and dues.

Invoice to Fred Rosales, Secretary, LULAC Council No. 60 from Manuel G. Vela, Treasurer, League of United Latin American Citizens dated June 1, 1946. This is a request for payment of outstanding membership fees, and advertisement fees. It has handwritten notes from John J. Herrera listing expenses and to indicate paid in full.

Letter to John Herrera from Pete Tijerina of Laredo, Texas dated December 1, 1947. Pete Tijerina is asking for a recommendation for entrance to the South Texas College of Law in Houston.

Letter from Carter Wesley, Editor of the Houston Informer, to John J. Herrera dated February 1, 1949. Carter is acknowledging receipt of a copy of the LULAC News sent by Herrera. Carter is impressed by the magazine and wants to subscribe. He also acknowledges the similarities of the segregation issues faced by the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People and the League of United Latin American Citizens.
