Letter from Sayles & Sayles to R. H. Reaves discussing a 40 acre tract of land in Comanche County as described in a deed from Sarah K. Shuler to B. I. Terry. The abstract is enclosed and the letter discusses the contents of the abstract.

Letter to Sayles, Sayles and Sayles discussing a discrepancy found in the list of enclosures and the enclosures themselves. The writer lists the abstracts and their discrepancies. The discrepancies seem to be between the El Paso copy of records and the Austin copy of records. The writer also mentions that McAlpine and Sayles are away at the Ranch and that he has not been able to discuss the shortage of interest payments with them. It is mentioned that the writer has read over deeds and discusses the actions executed in relation to the deeds.

Letter from E. H. Wells to Junia Roberts Osterhout. He wrote to thank her for the letters she had been sending him. He told her of what he and his family did for Thanksgiving and mentioned how some college girls spent their holiday.

Letter to Claude D. White from J. D. [Caldent] discussing business and Claude's move to Fort Worth. The author states that Texas has pulled in the most money for Price Company and then goes on to talk about how well his own business has been doing and mentions some about a mutual friend and his family.

Letter to Mary Moore from Laura [Jerningan] discussing news of friends and family. She writes of plans for Christmas, health concerns for herself and others, and other topics.

A letter to Julia Maria Pease from Dave Pease, a former slave.

Letter from Henry Clay, Jr, to his family from Scotland while he takes a course on gunnery. Clay has nothing but good things to say about the picturesque landscape and nice hotel he is staying in. One of the boys in his detachment also received word that commissions are imminent.

Letter from Henry Clay, Jr. to his family back home mostly concerning his distaste for the living conditions in England, as well as his poor flight instructor. At the end of his letter he mentions that he will be changing addresses again.
