Campos also writes to catch up and let Herrera know of how he is doing in Lubbock, Texas. "I am doing o.k. I got two secretaries. Not bad, eh Johnny [...] You know yourself Johnny...that when the people of Mexican descent need us, sometimes we have to sacrifice our personal life in order to help those who mostly need help."
