The video was made in lieu of Lloyd-Jones attending the luncheon in Portland, Oregon at CSLA's 47th annual meeting where the award was officially announced. The first part of the video is a book trailer for Thoughts to Make Your Heart Sing, which features illustrations from the book accompanied by an orchestral score. At the 1:25 mark, the video transitions to an image of Lloyd-Jones speaking while sitting and looking directly into the camera. Lloyd-Jones thanks the CSLA for the award, shares her inspiration for her book, and reads an excerpt.
