This first segment begins with footage shot from their moving car as they pass through Houston and Texas City on their way to Galveston. Footage includes the Texas Heroes Monument, exteriors of homes, boats on the water, businesses including the Omar Khayyam Club (04:28), and docked tourists boats the "Yacht Garmencita" and "Miss Texas" (04:29).
