This report describes archaeological testing at a site known as Fort St. Leon in Louisiana. Studies were made of levee building, geomorphology, and comparison of archival maps and aerial photographs, which contribute to the understanding of human activity as well as geological processes at the site.

This report is part of the Web-at-Risk project. These policy and planning documents typically guide collection management within libraries and archives. Some familiar concepts and practices from collection development for non-digital materials easily transfer to collection development for web-based materials while some new concepts and unfamiliar practices are introduced. To effectively manage web collections, it is good practice to either create new policies and plans or modify existing collection policies and plans.

This report is part of the Web-at-Risk project. The Web-at-Risk project is developing a Web Archiving Service (WAS) that will enable the project's partner institutions to act as archive agencies that will assist the project's curators in building and managing archived collections of web-published materials.

This report, by the University of North Texas Center for Economic Development and Research, evaluates bids submitted to the North Texas Regional Transportation council (RTC) for construction and operation of the South Highway 121 toll road project in Denton and Collin Counties. The North Texas Tollway Authority (NTTA) along with some private firms submitted bids for the project and this report compares these bids and their economic implications.

This report discusses the economic, fiscal and developmental impacts of the Dallas Center for the Performing Arts (DCPA). The University of North Texas Center for Economic Development identifies and calculates the economic and fiscal impacts that will attend construction and operations of the DCPA. Final report of a project to determine habitat parameters influencing distributions of Golden Orb (Q.aurea) mussels in the Guadalupe-San Antonio river basin: "The objectives of this study can be summarized by the following task: 1) Identify four samples with sufficient populations of Q.aurea to evaluate habitat parameters. 2) Evaluate the distribution of Q.aurea at selected sample sites in relation to habitat parameters and monitor flow conditions at these locations. 3) Calculate the shear stress ratio (RSS) for multiple flow conditions and the relationship with mussel density at selected sites. 4) Compile and summarize life history information for Q.aurea and related species" (p. 8).

The purpose of this report, by the University of North Texas Center for Economic Development and Research, is to offer an assessment of the current status of the healthcare services industry in Tarrant County. Also, to forecast demand for training in these specified occupations over the next several years.

This report discusses the hotel industry, Texas stadium, and hotel occupancy taxes. The Board of Directors of the Irving Convention and Visitors Bureau commissioned the Center for Economic Development and Research at the University of North Texas to examine several facets of the hotel industry, Texas Stadium and hotel occupancy tax receipts in the City of Irving. This report summarizes the findings of that examination.

This report is on a case study from Guatemala on malnutrition and food aid programs. The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of food aid and/or food aid programs on the nutritional status of its recipients in two regions of Guatemala. From this investigation, empirically-based programmatic statements as to the role of food aid and its impact on human society will be presented.

This report presents the findings of a study by the University of North Texas Center for Economic Research and Development. The study is to provide property owners in Mercado de Fort Forth with information to aid their decision making for building renovations and business investment. The study reviews several mercado-style projects in other cities, provides information on business assistance resources in the Fort Worth area, looks at ongoing plans targeted to the surrounding community, and provides details regarding qualifications for "historic" designations.

This report is part of the Web-at-Risk project. The Web-at-Risk project is one of eight digital preservation projects funded in 2004 by the Library of Congress. Each of the projects represents a collaborative effort to preserve for future generations born-digital or digitized cultural heritage materials and collections. The Web-at-Risk project is a 3-year collaborative effort of the California Digital Library, the University of North Texas (UNT), and New York University. The project will develop a Web Archiving Service that enables curators to build collections of web-published materials. The content will be collected largely from US federal and state government agencies, but will also include political policy documents, campaign literature, and information surrounding political movements. The project work will be conducted along four paths of overlapping activities. The Web-at-Risk Project work paths include (1) Content identification, selection, and acquisition; (2) Content harvest and analysis; (3) Content ingest, retention, and transfer; and (4) Partnership building.

"This report presents the results of the pre-impoundment investigations" of Ray Roberts Lake. The purpose of the study is "to improve understanding of the impact of [U.S. Army Corps of Engineers] water resource projects, to provide the basis for evaluating the projects' effects on fish and wildlife resources, and to provide the opportunity for better planning and development of water resource projects and natural resource management" in the Lake Ray Roberts area, located in Denton County, Texas (p. 3).
