Patent for automatic fire and burglar alarm. A cord extends from the casing of the alarm mechanism to a window. The alarm is triggered either by weight of a window opening or the cord is burned by fire.

Patent for a new type of window sash construction. Older sashes use putty to hold the window glass in to the frame. This sash uses metal and wood to hold the glass in making for a better seal and greater insulation.
