It has two handles forming jaws around a fulcrum, the jaws have flat faces with parallel grooves, and the jaws coming together at their ends. The grooves in the jaws form different sized loops.

Patent for an attachment for a wheel-hub that allows for the hub to be quickly and easily removed or engaged. The invention does not require a nut wrench; "devices for screwing and unscrewing the axle nut are carried by the wheel-hub, and are always in proper position for immediate use whenever it is necessary to detach the nut" (lines 16-19).

Implement for Tightening and Splicing Fencing-Wire.

Patent for a tool that tightens wires and takes up slack on wire fences. It also splices and joins wires together. The invention has "a novel construction whereby a loop is formed in the strand of wire which is to be tightened and the parts of such wire adjacent to the loop and brought into parallelism so that they may be intertwisted accurately and neatly" (lines 20-25). It also forms loops of different sizes in the wire.

This design "consists of a receptacle formed in two parts, which are secured together around the stovepipe just below the point where the latter enters the chimney immediately above the stove. The object of [the] invention is to construct an attachment which may be readily secured to or detached from the pipe for the purpose of catching any dirt or soot which may drop from the chimney, thus preventing it from reaching the stove" (lines 14-24).
