Patent for a machine that puts gins and condensers in a line, which sit over a flue. "The lint cotton in bat form being delivered from all of the condensers in independent bats to a common conveyer, the bat cotton increasing in thickness upon the common conveyer and in its travel to a press, compress or other receptacle, receiving the different bats from the different condensers, one bat lying smoothly upon the other, until at the discharge end of the common conveyer, the bat in which the lint is evenly distributed and which is of considerable thickness, will be conveniently discharged" (lines 13-24).

Patent for a car-replacer that is simple and inexpensive and can be easily set and removed. The replacer has two blocks shaped like triangles and tie rods connecting the blocks.

Patent for an apparatus for handling seed-cotton. This apparatus is designed to move seed-cotton to gin-feeders, then from the condenser to the press, and also for conveying seeds and motes to an area of deposit.

Patent for a pneumatic feed device or elevator and distributor for cotton gins. It has a mechanical conveyer that connects "with the blast device, so that a positive force feed is obtained and the cotton is placed evenly over the gins, and wherein further an overflow box is employed and an independent means of feeding the cotton through the medium of the said blast device, either from a vehicle or bin or from the overflow box, thus enabling the gin to be fed even while the connection between the bin or main source of supply is cut off; and wherein also the blower or fan employed in connection with the pneumatic conveying device may likewise be used for forcing the speed delivered from the gin to any desired point" (lines 12-26).

Patent for an improvement in vehicle-seats, intended especially for uses in wagon-seats, by constructing a supporting frame consist of two shafts, each having two cranks with two springs connected with the wrists of the cranks. The seat is supported upon these springs which are secured to the underside of the seat-board by employing two blocks that are safely attached beneath the seat. The movements of the springs preserve the horizontal position of the seat even when weight is unequally disposed. Illustration is included.

Patent for a poison distributor that has an adjustable discharge distance and does not clog. It is crank operated to generate a steady stream of poison.

Patent for an insecticide that uses an arsenic compound to kill insects instead of Paris green or London purple, and can easily be made into a beautiful green powder that may be used as a pigment.

Patent for "an improved process of tanning hides in an expeditious and economical manner, and to produce a fine quality of leather" (lines 8-11). The limed and haired hides are baited thrice, afterwards the hides are packed into "tanning-vats with bark and covering them with a solution of alum and water" (lines 80-82). The hides are then leached in salt water and scoured and dried.

Patent for a new and improved printing-plate. This design "relates to an improvement in printing-plates designed particularly for printing mailing-lists for newspapers and other periodicals" (lines 8-11). To this end, it consists in "[t]he combination of the bar or holder having the downwardly and inwardly turned ends, and the printing-plates secured on the former . . . of the loop loosely mounted on the plate, and the interposed wedge-shaped locking-key" (lines 5-16).

Patent for certain new and useful improvements in grinding machines, including instructions and illustrations.

Patent for a combined railway-switch and car-replacing mechanism that is meant to "provide certain improved devices which can be arranged to operate as a switch mechanism, or as car replacing means, which can be easily manipulated, are of a simple construction and which will effectively serve for their intended purposes" (lines 11-16). It can be easily assembled and dissembled.

Patent for certain new and useful improvements in "devices for releasing fractious animals from vehicles" (line 15 -16).

Patent for a refrigerator especially designed to cool meat, dairy, and other farm products. It uses little ice and cools using vaporization.

Patent for a device that will grind poison to a fine powder, and can mounted on a wagon for distribution onto plants.

Patent for a new device for handling and cleaning seeding cotton by atmospheric suction in which the cotton may be conveyed and cleaned without passing through the exhaust-fans, thereby avoiding danger of the machine being choked while in operation. (Lines 14-17) Illustration is included.

Patent for improvement in account-books by “dispensing a multiplicity of books in keeping accounts and to devise means for combining in one book and upon a single page thereof the features of the ledger, day-book, bill-book and bills-receivable book, said page to be so provided with perforation as to admit of the detachment of certain parts, leaving intake theat part of the page that is intended for permanent record.” (Lines 13-22) Illustration is included.
