Process of and Apparatus for Progressive Electrostatic Separation of Comminuted Material

Patent for a new process and equipment that improves upon prior work to separate comminuted materials. This patent explores the new process which "provides means for moving the electro-static waves or charges across the line of normal movement of the material upon a support of between two opposing stationary electrodes by so directing and controlling the electric charges, that each bar electrode is charged in succession across the deck and at an angle to the movement of such deck, whereby the difficulties in separating certain classes of comminuted material with moving electrodes are overcome" (lines 32-42).

Patent for protecting bank vaults by using metal shells (that are adapted to receive frangible gas containers containing asphyxiating or other disabling gas) as inner linings inside and next to the brick wall of the vault. The metal shells containing the gas containers will break upon contact when a person or persons are trying to breach the outer (brick wall) to gain access to the bank vault.
