Patent for a new and improved fruit gatherer. This design consists "[i]n a fruit-gatherer, the combination of the pole, the jaws attached to its upper end, the sliding collar, the links connecting the collar and the sleeve, the rods, the jaws, the ring, the tube attached thereto and encircling the pole below said jaws, and the sleeve which supports the ring and is adjustable on the pole longitudinally for the purpose of adjusting the mouth of said tube in the desired proximity to the said jaws" (lines 13-22).

Patent for a machine that irrigates with a water wheel. The water wheel is connected to a float and a rod connected that is connected to a crank on the shaft of the wheel.

Patent for a new and improved pruning implement. This design consists in "the combination, with a staff, of the jaw-arms pivoted to the staff and provided with the upwardly-projecting and curved jaws, the collars fitted loosely on the staff, the rods connecting the said collars, and the link-arms pivoted to the collar and to the jaw-arms" (lines 11-17).

Patent for a new and improved hame-tug. This design "relates to a hame and trace attachment, having for its object to provide a simple, strong, and durable device to connect the front end of the trace chain or strap to the hame, whereby the movement of the said chain or strap is prevented from wearing the parts, and thus necessitating frequent repair or replacement" (lines 9-16).

Patent for a new and improved lawn-mower. This design consists in "[t]he combination of a bifurcated frame, a driving-wheel supported therein, gears secured to opposite sides of said wheel, inclined pitmen-driving shafts carrying at their inner ends pinions to engage said gears, guide-plates supported by the lower and forward end of the frame, cutters provided with slots and supported between said guide-plates, pitmen connecting the cutters and shafts, and adjusting-screws applied to said plates and cutters" (lines 23-33).

Patent for an improvement in pumps.

Patent for a new and improved shoe cabinet. This design "is to provide for the convenient arrangement of the stock according to size, style, or make, and so as to enable the salesman or attendant to have ready access to different styles and sizes and to select those desired without the trouble of moving or handling other stock. It consists, essentially, of a case or cabinet furnished with drawers which are arranged in groups or sections and with a door for each group or section. It consists, further, in dividing each drawer into several compartments by movable or 'knockdown' partitions" (lines 12-24).

Patent for Thermostatic Signal. "The object of my invention is to provide a device whereby an alarm will be automatically sounded when the temperature of the drier has reached too high a point." (lines 13-16). With Illustrations.

Patent for a new and improved car-truck. This design "relates to railway-car trucks; and it consists in providing the axle inside the wheel with a supplementary journal and shoulder and a supplementary journal-box supported above the inside journal by the truck-frame, said supplementary journal-box being immediately over the inside journal and arranged so as to support the truck on the inside journal should the outside journal become broken or inoperative by means of a hot box or otherwise" (lines 10-20).

Patent for improvements for loading cartridge, included detailed drawings.

Patent for "improvements in locks, having special reference to locks for the doors of freight-cars; and it has for its object to provide a strong lock so constructed as to be comparatively safe from the attacks of lockpickers" (lines 8-13).

Patent for a combined train car that can "be adapted for day use a parlor or chair car, and may be readily converted into a sleeping-car with independent state-rooms, thus insuring privacy and comfort to passengers" (lines 16-20) thus saving achieving maximum efficiency of space.

Patent for a device that connects a spout to any vessel.

Patent for a new and improved hand rest. This design consists in "[t]he combination of the standard, the lever supported thereby and provided with a guide wire or rail, and the hand support comprising a roller mounted on said rail, an elastic strap depending from the roller, and a finger-receiver secured to the lower end of the strap" (lines 62-68).

Patent for "new and useful improvements in plows, having for its object the provision of simple and highly-efficient means for adjusting the position of the outer drag-bars and shovels and for regulating the depth of penetration of the central shovel" (lines 10-16).
