Patent for a seed-planter, with illustrations. The "invention relates to an improved seed-planter, adapted to be attached to and operated in connection with any ordinary plow for planting wheat, corn, cotton, or other seed (line 25-28).

Animal Trap.
Patent for a new and improved animal trap. This design "consists in the combination of a suitable frame upon which a revolver or pistol is secured, a treadle which is secured to the front end of this frame, and a suitable spring and levers, by which the fire-arm is discharged when the animal steps upon the treadle" (lines 14-20).

Cotton Chopper and Harrow
Patent for "a cotton chopper, the combination, with the wheeled vehicle, of the side and central section-bars carrying the inclined knives, the handles secured to the central section, and double rack connecting said handles, the adjusting-levers pivoted to the central section, and the pivoted perforated arms connecting the levers and outer section bars" (lines 40-47).

Station Indicator.
Patent for a new and improved train station indicator. This design calls for two drums or rollers around which a banner with the different train station names and phrases written sequentially. A hand crank turns the drums, moving the banner to the desired name or phrase, as well as ringing a bell to alert passengers.
