Patent for a new combination wagon-pole tip and neck-yoke clamp. This design "provide[s] a combined wagon-pole tip or socket and neck-yoke clamp of novel construction, which can be easily attached to and detached from the pole or neck-yoke, and which, when in use, will be self-adjusting to the movements of the neck-yoke due to the motion of the team" (lines 9-15).

Patent for an improvement to a churning by allowing a churn to be attached to a sewing machine. The churn and sewing machine could then be used separately or at the same time.

Patent for a new and improved animal tag. This design "consists in an animal-tag formed of a tube provided with a removable cover and an elongated staple for the strap, by which this tube is held to the animal" (lines 11-14).

Patent for a new and improved automatic-fan combination-stand. This design "relates to an improved stand or support for an automatic fan, which said stand shall be portable, so as to be conveniently set up wherever desired, and which shall contain various hooks, brackets, shelves, and other conveniences" (lines 17-22).

Patent for improvements to vehicle wheels including a detailed explanation and illustrations.

Patent for a new and improved t-square. This design calls for a triangular prism of a tongue, which enables more scales to be available to the work-person. The head, with its brackets and rabbet, will fasten the tongue in place while the work-person uses it.

Patent for a new and improved attachment for oil-lamp chimneys. This design is for a metal piece to be inserted into the top of the glass chimney, resting along the chimney's brim. The piece has an elbow that connects the inserted part to an angled and tapered part, which, when appropriately turned, prevents the wind from extinguishing the lamp's flame.

Patent for saddle stirrup, with illustrations. The invention "relates to those stirrups which are provided with foot-pieces adapted to oscillate thereupon... and at the same time provide means whereby the foot-pieces can have limited universal movement" (lines 10-15).

Patent for a new and improved horseshoe. This design "consists in a horseshoe constructed with a base made in two parts, hinged together at their forward ends, and having a cap, also made in two parts, attached to the base, the parts of the cap being provided at their upper forward corners with eyes and a fastening staple, and the hinged parts of the base being locked in place by a screw-rod passing through the hinged end of the base, whereby the shoe can be readily applied and detached, and will be securely held in place" (lines 22-33).

Patent for a new and improved heel for boots and shoes. This design is for a hollow heel of malleable metal (e.g., iron) to be filled with some cheaper material (e.g., wood). This design represents an improvement over previous heels with its cheaper production cost and greater durability.

Patent for a new and improved post-hole digger. This design "has for its object to provide a simple, durable, inexpensive, and efficient device, the levers of which can be readily separated, so that either of them can be used as a spade or shovel to fill in the earth around the post after it is placed in the hole" (lines 14-19).

Patent for a new and improved pistol holster. This design "consists of a plate of malleable iron or other suitable metal, curved to conform to the waist of a person, having secured to it on the inside a spring adapted to push outward from the waist toward an auxiliary slotted countersunk plate, serving to hold the head of the screw attached to the fire-arm" (lines 19-25).

Patent for an improved car coupling, including illustrations. "This invention relates to an improvement to car coupling, having for its object to effect the coupling of cars with facility and without danger to the operator, the coupling operation being performed automatically, and without requiring the passing of the operator between the cars" (lines 10-15).

Patent for a new and improved coupling for railroad cars. This design consists in "having [a] bell-mouthed draw-head, pin, plane-faced link, spring, and slide, having transverse plane face laterally secured in the draw-head by means of side guide-plates, [and] inlet into rabbets" (lines 85-90).

Patent for improvements to car-coupling using a vertically-moving pin for locking the cars together.

Patent for a new and improved coupling for railroad cars. This design "consists in the employment of a handled shaft hung in suitable bearings or buffers at the end of the car, and having a wheel provided with a series of pins or arms adapted to be automatically projected and retracted, said shaft also having ratchets engaged by holding-pawls" (lines 15-21).

Patent for a new and improved coupling for railroad cars. This design "consists essentially of contrivances for setting the buffer or draw-bar and a pin setting, tripping and uncoupling device higher or lower for adapting the coupling to couple self-actingly with cars different in height" (lines 8-13).
