Flood-Gate.

Patent for a flood-gate meant for use in mill-dams, races, and levees. Its intended use is to allow water to come to a certain height, and automatically release water once it gets past that point. When the water returns to a reasonable height, the gate automatically closes.

Patent for an improved farm gate that pivots in its center and can be swung in either direction. It is operated by a pull chord and levers. The pull chords are set on posts on either side of the gate, each side having two chords in order to open the gate in either direction. The posts also act as a brace to stop the gate from swinging further.

Patent for a simple, inexpensive, and durable spring bet bottom that consists of a frame, slats, separate inverted cone-shaped coiled springs that sit on the slats and that loop together at the tops, clamps that hold the springs onto the slats, and hooks that hold the upper coils to the frame.
