Patent for an amusement device. This invention is designed as an apparatus for a swing, a trapeze, a horizontal bar, and seesaw. Illustration included.

Patent for "a portable burglar-alarm, which may be secured in position adjacent to a window or door, so that upon the opening of the same the alarm will be tripped and the cartridge detonated" (lines 9-13).

Patent for a new and improved cap. This design calls for "an adjustable pillow, which can be used when desired, and folded up out of the way when not in use. To accomplish this . . . the cap [has] an air-tight sack or pillow, which can be inflated when needed, and when not in use the air can be withdrawn and the pillow folded up out of the way in the top of the cap" (lines 25-32).

Patent for a combined shoot-board and squaring-box meant to square and shave "the edges of stereotype and other printing plates; ant to this end the invention contemplates a device of this character that will be of an exceedingly simple and comparatively inexpensive construction, while at the same time providing for an easy and accurate manipulation of the plates being operated upon" (lines 10-17).

Patent for a cuff button and sleeve holder that can be enlarged to allow for the cuff to be secured in different positions on the arm, including an illustration. If the wearer would like to pull their sleeve up around the arm, this device is meant to secure it in place.

Patent for a new and improved lock-hopple. This design consists in "the combination of the semi-circular section provided at its free end with the latch-hook and concave edge, and the semi-circular section provided with the perforated projection for the attachment of the lap-ring, and with the lock" (lines 95-100). It further consists in "the partition, the cap-piece having the central key-opening, the journaled latch-hook having the end of its journal formed to fit in the recess in the end of the key, the curved double-arm spring, the lid, and the lid-stem having upon it a block provided with the shoulders" (lines 1-8).

Patent for a simple and durable machine for cutting stick-candy that is "capable of traveling over a table or other support upon which stick candy in given lengths may be laid, and to so travel over the table that the lengthy sticks of candy will be made to slide over the bed of the machine, under a knife or its equivalent; and a further object of the invention is to provide a means whereby the knife may be manipulated at predetermined points in the travel of the machine to cut the lengthy sticks into shorter predetermined lengths" (lines 11-21).

Patent for improved construction of lifting jacks with a "vertically-movable screw and capable of enabling the jack to be readily connected with an object at the base of it, whereby the range of the lifting-jack will be materially increased" (lines 14-18).

Patent for improvements in cotton cultivators: "designed more especially for cultivating cotton, scraping the earth away from the young plants, and thinning out the same" (lines 11-12).

Patent for "a new and useful improvement in Wooden Single-Trees" (lines 3-4), "for plows and other similar drafts" (lines 15-16), including instructions and illustrations.

Patent for "a new and useful improvement in a combined corn and cotton planter and cultivator" (lines 3-6), includes instructions and illustrations.

Patent for a new and improved top prop. This design consists in "the combination of a block, a supporting-arm mounted thereon, and a strap passing about the arm and bows and secured to the block. . . . [and a] plate provided with tubular hub and lug, [another] plate provided with an opening to fit the hub, an arm provided with a seat and with a circular opening to fit upon the hub, and a bolt or screw" (lines 82-87).

Patent for a touch regulating attachment for pianos. This invention contributes to the elasticity and responsiveness of the pianos action. Illustration included.

Patent for a simple and durable stock-trough that feeds and waters stock and is easily cleaned. No wooden parts are exposed to the watering portion of the trough, and the invention will not injure the stock.

Patent for gin saw cleaner. This invention operates on the cotton bulbs when they are damp and cling to the saw blade. Illustrations included.

Patent for a new and improved hoe. This design consists in "[a] hoe having two blades, the upper blade having a straight cutting-edge projecting from the top of the main blade at an obtuse angle to the inner face of the lower blade and entirely within the plane thereof, and the shank" (lines 79-84).
