Patent for a new and improved clasp. This design "consist[s] of the front plate formed with the integral strap loop or slot at its upper end, the teeth at its lower end, and the opening above said teeth, the rear plate formed with integral teeth at its lower end, side ears at its upper end, and the lugs below said ears and projecting beyond the outer face of the plate, the spindle passing through the ears and provided with a spring throwing the plates apart, and the locking-plate pivoted at its upper end to the lugs and having a [different] lug projecting inward from said upper end" (lines 83-96).

Patent for a new and improved carpenter's hatchet. This design, "by curving or convexing the back of the hatchet downward from the eye to the rear end of the blade [it] greatly facilitates the ease and efficiency with which the hatchet can be used in driving nails in angles and corners—an improvement which will be at once appreciated by all carpenters—while by forming the back of the blade with the opposite recesses, leaving the thin wall between them, the hatchet can be used as a screw-driver, and the carpenter can thus dispense with the use of a separate screw-driver" (lines 67-79).

Patent for a new and improved bin. This design consists in "[t]he combination of a casing having bearing blocks or shoulders, a tilting bin located in said casing and provided with a sloping top, and an automatic cover placed loosely in the casing above the shoulders and provided on the under side, near its front edge, with a cleat fitting within the upper part of the bin, whereby said cover is adapted to close the upright bin and limit its forward movement when opened" (lines 7-16).

Patent for a new and improved attachment for planters. This design consists in "the combination of a standard having a seed box at its upper end provided with a longitudinal groove in the upper side of the bottom, and with slots in the end walls registering with the groove and having an arm projecting laterally from the lower end, a wheel journaled upon the said arm, a seed-slide in the groove, a bell-crank fulcrumed upon a rearwardly-projecting bracket of the box, a connecting-rod pivoted to the wheel and to the rear arm of the bell-crank, and a connecting-rod pivoted to the upper arm of the bell-crank" (lines 41-53).

Patent for a new ant trap design using a conical shape and reservoirs for holding kerosene to destroy ants, including illustrations.

Patent for a new and improved regulator for boiler feeders. This design "consists in certain novel details of construction, arrangement, and operation whereby a superior machine is produced for the purpose of regulating and supplying boilers with water, keeping the water at a uniform height, preventing explosions from low water, and automatically removing sediment, impurities, and foam as fast as it accumulates" (lines 14-22).

Patent for "an improvement in means for securing corks in bottles, flasks, and jugs" (lines 10-12) including illustrations.

Patent for a new and improved sheath for levels. This design "is to provide a rubber or other elastic sheath for levels, adapted to encircle the glass and prevent injury thereto in case of jars or falls, and to also form a steady securement between the level-glass and the metallic covering or housing therefor" (lines 13-18).

Patent for a new and improved grain adjuster. This design "consists in the combination, with the platform-frame, of a wire or rod, which is preferably corrugated or bent, and which is fastened to the outer end of the frame and extends inward over the carrier in the rear of the cutter . . . The object of [the] invention is to apply to the frame of binding-machines a corrugated rod or wire, upon which the heads of the grain will catch, and thus prevent the heads of the cut grain from being moved toward the elevator faster than their butts, whereby the grain is presented evenly and regularly" (lines 14-27).

Patent for a fire escape "which will be capable of lowering people or goods for a high structure with perfect ease and comfort, and without danger of breaking" (lines 21-24) while also being "very simple and durable of construction thoroughly efficient in operation, and cheap to manufacture" (lines 26-28).

Patent for Fire Escape. "may be folded up out of the way when not in use, and which can be lowered to the ground and secured in position for use in an emergency in the shortest possible space of time and with the least expense of physical force." (lines 15-20) With illustrations.

Patent for Sash-Fastener. "My invention relates to sash-fasteners for holding and locking a window-sash either in an open or closed position." (lines7-9). With illustrations.

Patent for a new and improved metallic shingle. This design consists in "a roof made up of a series of metallic shingles bent and doubled at the ends . . . and the joint at the sides of the shingle, the doubled ends being bent at the sides to correspond with the joint at the sides of the shingle, whereby a double thickness is provided at the sides of the end joints and notching is obviated" (lines 11-18).

Patent for a new and improved quilting frame. This design consists in "the combination of the vertical standards bent forward at their upper ends and provided with dovetailed projections, the track-bar beveled toward the upper edge and provided with dovetailed notches to receive the projections whereby the said bar may be removed from the standards, the folding braces between the standards, the roller-bar having the rollers to run on the track-bar, and the frame connected to the roller-bar by the suspending-cords" (lines 38-49).

Patent for a new and improved cotton-stalk cutter. This design consists in "the frame or body adapted to be dragged on the ground, and provided near its front end with the laterally-projecting cutting-blade and the arm, arranged above and in front of the blade, and the colter attached near the rear end of the frame or body and adapted to cut into the soil" (lines 3-9).

Patent for a more durable and simple in construction, efficient in operation, and can also double as a planter.
