Patent for a simple and durable brace for heel-sweeps. The wings of the sweep will not close, and "that portion of the sweep through which the heel-bolt passes will be materially strengthened" (lines 14-16). It also braces sweeps whatever their size, and all the brace's parts are adjustable.

Patent for invention for new and useful improvements in Car-Replacer. The invention relates to improvements in car replacers which can easily be applied to a track or rail which will quickly and easily cause the car to enter upon the track and which cannot possibly become displaced by the weight and strain of the car

Patent for an apparatus for handling brick "whereby the number of brick handled by a single hand may be greatly increased" (lines 9-11) including illustrations.

Patent for an improved clock attachment to operate "a series of alarms or signals arranged in different rooms of a building or in other separated stations for simultaneously sounding the alarms or for operating the signals at predetermined times." (lines 11-17) including illustrations.

Patent for a new and improved baling-press. This design consists in "the ordinary framing, shell, or case for containing the material and stationary lower platen or bed are used, the upper platen being the movable one to effect the compression. This upper platen is brought down upon the material for its compression by the lowering of screw-threaded rods to which it is attached, such lowering being effected by the rotation of rotating nuts in fixed bearings taking on such screw-threaded rods" (lines 25-35).

Patent for improvements in wrenches, particularly relating to the type generally known as the spanner wrench. The object of this invention is to provide an improved spanner wrench including means for reliably retaining the wrench head in proper position with relation to the object being rotated.

Patent for improvement to the locomotive valve-gear by utilizing a centrally-pivoted lever.

Patent for a locomotive-pilot coupling that can lift or elevate locomotive pilot or draw-bars, a cylinder that can turn in all directions depending on how the bars moves and is collecting to the motor fluid supply, a piston in the cylinder that connects the bar to the cylinder, a swinging jaw, and various other parts.

Patent for improvement in clasps "especially adapted for garment supporting" (lines 9-10) including instructions and illustrations.

Patent for an improved design of the plow consisting of a modified foot of the plow and curved blade. Illustrations included.

Patent for a new compound to be used as fish bait, consisting of oil of anise, asafetida, cardamom-seed, golden, yellow, or black root, and buzzard root. Includes instructions.

Patent for a new improvement in harness that "enables the detachment of the horse therefrom instantaneously" (lines 8-9) including illustration. It may also be called "safety harness" (line 10).

Patent for a steam engine, improving on the original design so as to "provide a steam-engine having few parts so as to avoid the use of eccentrics, slide-valve, valve-rod, piston and connecting rods, stuffing-boxes, and glands, thus increasing the actual power by decreasing the friction" (lines 26-31).

Patent for a gate-latch. A latch-pin secured in a beam, another latch secured to the inside of another post, with two pivoting hangers, and plates come together to form this latch.

Patent for a gate latch that works by having stop-pins secured to the gate, while a rod goes through the post, with a handle on one end and a latch on the other end. The latch is shaped so that it catches the pin.

Patent for a driving mechanism. The object of the invention is to provide a simple and efficient mechanism for transforming reciprocatory motion into rotary motion. It can be adapted in order to connect to other mechanisms.

Patent for a spring-seat attachment for vehicles.

Patent for a sharpener for saw blades designed to increase the strength of the blade by "imparting an oval or rounding cut to the back of the teeth" (lines 15-16). Illustrations included.

Patent for a new and improved boiler. This design "consist[s] of a horizontal steam reservoir, a vertical cylinder provided with radial tubes suspended therefrom and forming a steam-generating chamber, all supported by standards placed underneath said horizontal steam-reservoir and outside of the casing surrounding said steam-generating chamber, and the fire-box placed under said steam-generating chamber" (lines 67-75).
