Patent for a simple, inexpensive, and compact check-punch that can be operated by one hand and doesn't take much power to operate. The machine consists of two movable members, "one of which carries all of the male and the other all of the female dies, said members being so related that when moved relatively to each other in one direction all the male dies move as a single member...and enter the female dies, and when moved in the opposite direction all of said male dies are withdrawn" (lines 12-20).

Patent for a brush used with pressurized water to clean floors, walls, ceilings, horses, buggies, animal carcasses, etc. The brush can have a hose hooked up to it and has a valve. The water goes into the top of the brush and is distributed evenly throughout with holes in the top of the brush, and the water is sprayed through the bristles.

Patent for a simple and durable combined horse-detacher and brake that stops the car after releasing the animal. This patent simplifies a previous patent application (Serial No. 565,581). Both the horse-detacher and brake are activated at the same time by pulling one lever. The brake sits under the car and can hardly be seen.

Patent for a car-coupling that has a draw-bar attached to the car, a hollow draw-head with a flaring opening that sits horizontally to the draw-bar, a spring that holds the draw-head in the horizontal position, a bar that raises and lowers the forward end of the draw-head against the spring, a coupling-pin that sits in the draw-head, a chain that connects the draw-head to the bell-crank lever, a cam that supports the chain, and a device that turns the cam in either direction in order to tighten the chain.

Beer-Cooler.

Patent for an inexpensive and simple beer cooler that is used in bars, hotels, and other places that disperse beer in small amounts. The cooler has an ornamental appearance and is "adapted to thoroughly cool the beer by a consumption of a minimum amount of ice; to so construct the cooler as to adapt the same to serve as a refrigerator for the storing and cooling of bottled goods such as beer, ale, porter, &c., and furthermore to arrange the cooler in such manner as to permit of the introduction and removal of beer-kegs without the necessity of lifting the same from the floor" (lines 14-23).
