Nail Receptacle.

Patent for a new and improved nail receptacle. This design consists in "a carrying-frame having a cross-beam provided with a rack, in combination with a swinging receptacle journaled in the frame and having enlarged rear end normally resting against the beam to elevate the discharge end thereof, and a detaining bar or rod pivoted to the under side of and carried by the swinging receptacle, and having a projecting lip adapted to engage the rack and retain the receptacle in its adjusted position" (lines 38-48).

Hat and Towel Holder.

Patent for a new and improved hat and towel holder. This design is "compris[ed of] a base-piece . . . having arms and a cylinder cast in one piece therewith, the arms and cylinder being arranged in a horizontal position near each end of the base-plate, and connected together at their outer ends by the vertical arm, and a plunger provided with the finger-piece having a coiled spring arranged in said cylinder, and adapted to bear against the base-plate to provide a support for the coat or towel" (lines 7-17).

Gate Latch.

Patent for a new and improved gate latch. This design consists "[i]n a gate-catch, the combination, with the gate and post of a cylinder having perforated lugs and removable heads, a locking-bolt, working in the cylinder and projecting above the plane of the gate, the said rod having a reduced portion or shoulder, a squared portion, and a right-angled locking foot, a spring arranged in the cylinder and secured at one end to the locking-bolt, and a horizontal catch-plate having beveled side edges and perforated lugs for securing the plate to the post" (lines 63-73).
