Patent for a combined cotton chopper and rolling fender to be attached to a cultivator. Illustrations included.

Patent for a new and improved planter. This design consists in "[t]he combination of the frame, the seed-tube secured therein, the box secured around the upper end of the seed-tube and having the upper beveled edge, the hopper having its lower end resting on the said beveled edge, and the straps secured to the hopper and the box" (lines 52-58).

Patent for a churn with a "perforated dasher and a hollow or tubular dasher-shaft, through which the air passes into the churn-cylinder during the process of churning" (lines 14-17). The churn has a foot-rest and a false-bottom, and is meant to improve on simple and inexpensive churns.

Patent for an improved car-coupling that features "a solid block at the back part of the draw-head, which when coupling the cars will come far enough back to hit the solid part in the draw-head and prevent the bent spring from breaking." (Lines 16-21) Includes instructions and illustrations.

Patent for an internal combustion engine that improves on an explosive engine with two hollow pistons, one of which slides within the other and both are connected to a triple crank shaft, so that they reciprocate simultaneously in opposite directions. The invention improves on the construction, arrangement, and combination of parts of the explosive engine.

Patent for a new windmill design with improvement with breaking from the wind with new connections.

Patent for a new and improved wire-splicer. This design "consist[s] of a handle having an integral lateral offset at one end, provided with a transverse perforation formed substantially in line with the handle, a groove being formed in the angle formed by the lateral offset and the handle, and an enlarged recess being formed in the side of the handle and top of the offset concentrically with the groove" (lines 53-61).

Patent for an improvement in milk-coolers “in which water is drawn by capillary attraction from a receptacle placed above the milk-receptacle onto a cloth wrapped around the latter, thus cooling the milk by evaporation.” (Lines 8-12) Illustration is included.

Patent for improvements of plows and their agricultural implementation.

Patent for a new and improved nail receptacle. This design consists in "a carrying-frame having a cross-beam provided with a rack, in combination with a swinging receptacle journaled in the frame and having enlarged rear end normally resting against the beam to elevate the discharge end thereof, and a detaining bar or rod pivoted to the under side of and carried by the swinging receptacle, and having a projecting lip adapted to engage the rack and retain the receptacle in its adjusted position" (lines 38-48).

Patent for a new and improved tire-shrinker. This design "consist[s] of the block having the perforations . . . mortise-hole, and mortised sockets, [and] curved bar secured to the circular edge of said block" (lines 97-100). Further, it "ha[s] on the outer edge the teeth, the U-shaped clamping-blocks, their bent ends fitting in the mortised sockets and under the curved bar, their mortised ends extending up either side of said bar and beyond its outer edge, keys fitting in the mortise-holes of said U-shaped blocks, [and] kinker-head having the arm extending through the mortise-hole in said bar" (lines 1-10).

Patent for construction of cheap gates.

Patent for a new and improved hat and towel holder. This design is "compris[ed of] a base-piece . . . having arms and a cylinder cast in one piece therewith, the arms and cylinder being arranged in a horizontal position near each end of the base-plate, and connected together at their outer ends by the vertical arm, and a plunger provided with the finger-piece having a coiled spring arranged in said cylinder, and adapted to bear against the base-plate to provide a support for the coat or towel" (lines 7-17).

Patent for a new and improved gate latch. This design consists "[i]n a gate-catch, the combination, with the gate and post of a cylinder having perforated lugs and removable heads, a locking-bolt, working in the cylinder and projecting above the plane of the gate, the said rod having a reduced portion or shoulder, a squared portion, and a right-angled locking foot, a spring arranged in the cylinder and secured at one end to the locking-bolt, and a horizontal catch-plate having beveled side edges and perforated lugs for securing the plate to the post" (lines 63-73).

Patent for a new and improved seed planter. This design consists "[i]n a seed-planter, the combination of the seed wheel or disk having a series of seed cups or recesses in its periphery with a band or tire fitting upon the periphery of the disk having slots registering with the recesses and provided at one end of each slot with an inwardly-bent tongue forming an adjustable wall for each recess" (lines 32-39).
