Patent for a bed brace that consists of end-loops that are held by engage hooks at the ends of the bedstead, fixed draw-wires that connect the outer and inner sides of the end-loops, a tension-loop that is connected to the side rails, tightening link with duplicate rings that slide onto the tension loop, and a transverse twisting-bar.

Patent for a new and improved coupling for railroad cars. This design "is to provide means for raising the catch to release it from either side or from the top of the car, and holding it in such raised position" (lines 8-12). It consists, "with the draw-head and the catch pivoted therein and having tip extended vertically through the front end thereof, of eyes in said draw-head, a wire frame journaled in said eyes and having forwardly extending arms above and beneath the body of said catch, and means . . . for turning the frame in said eyes" (lines 85-93).

Patent for new and useful Improvements in Combined Rules and Squares which makes it "possible to form a rigid straight rule or one or more rigid squares" (lines 24-25), including illustration and instructions.

Patent for an attachment for motors "designed to prevent the loss of leverage and power which ordinarily obtains in such motors and in all machinery where the power is taken from cranks, and also to overcome what is known as the dead-center, and thus to greatly increase the power of the machine to which the attachment is applied" (lines 12-18).

Patent for a valve that controls the flow of drinking water from a reservoir or tank into a trough. It can be operated by domestic animals and automatically shuts off when they are finished drinking.

Patent for a new and improved well-bucket fixture. This design "is to provide for the ready opening of the valve for entrance into the bucket of water or other fluid, and the closing of the same when the same bucket has been sufficiently supplied; also securely to hold the parts together as against loosening in consequence of frequent usage; and it consists in the detailed construction, combination, and arrangement of the parts" (lines 11-19).

Patent for new improvements on plow-carriages design including illustrations.

Patent for tool heaters "adapted to heat a soldering iron by gas" (lines 9-10) to increase the heat applied to the tool, including illustrations.

Patent for a safety discharge valve to aid in the expulsion of air from train lines or pipes. Illustrations included.

Patent for "a novel means of hanging the gang of plows beneath the draft-frame, in combination with levers and link-connections, whereby the plows can be adjusted to run at any desired depth, and firmly held after the adjustment." (Lines 18-23) Includes instructions and illustrations.

Patent for an acetylene-gas generator which automatically feeds carbid to the generator and in which the gas generated is washed within the bell.

Patent for improvements in devices for cooling milk and butter by using textile materials to cover the buckets or pails that contain milk or butter or other food articles, then saturated these textile covered buckets or pails with water; thus reducing the temperature of the articles contained in the buckets or pails, owing to evaporation.
