Patent for a revolving disk plow that pulverizes the soil. The plow is especially designed to prepare the soil for cotton and cultivating between rows of crops. It has a tongue, a cross-bar with a sloping edge, spindles set at an angle to the cross-bar, disks mounted on the spindles, a double scraper for the disks, a gage-wheel, and a pivoting and locking lever on the tongue.

Patent for "an improved device for fastening a bolt and nut in position, whereby the tendency of the bolt or not to become displaced under jar or strain is obviated." (Lines 7-11) Includes instructions or illustrations.

Patent for improvements in book support: "book are held in an upright position on the shelves" (lines 9-10).

Patent for a new and improved pen holder. This design "relates to improvements in penholders whereby the pen may be automatically discharged or ejected from the holder" (lines 8-11). It consists "of a staff with tenoned end, a portion of which is cut out of its upper surface with a downward bevel to its lower end, a beveled slide adapted to fit and slide upon the beveled cut in the staff, said slide being provided with a slight shoulder upon its upper side and a hole through the same for a screw or pin, a tube longitudinally slotted inclosing said staff and slide" (lines 38-47).

Patent for a new and improved tire tightener. This design consists in "[t]he combination of a tubular member having having one end beveled and provided with a transverse hole and provided at its other end with an interiorly-arranged annular shoulder, a set-screw passing through the tubular member and arranged near the shoulder, a nut resting on the tubular member and provided with an extension projecting into the same and bearing on the shoulder and provided with an annular groove receiving the set-screw, and a screw passing through the nut into the tubular member" (lines 28-39).

Patent for improvements in pistons for pneumatic pumps by using a combination of a tubular shell, a cylindrical valve, a conical aperture and a conical projection to fulfill the conditions required of a piston in pumps. Illustration is included.

Patent for an improvement to adjusting rifle barrels and holding those adjustments in place. Includes illustrations.

Patent for a new and improved planter. This design "is to provide a planter which may be used as a cotton-planter or other small-seed planter, the various parts being so arranged that the number of grains planted in a hill may be regulated as desired, while the depth of the furrow may also be regulated in accordance with the requirements of the case" (lines 8-15).

Patent for a new and improved lock. This design "is to produce a lock and key in which the lock-case has no exterior opening communicating with its wards or works, but is provided with a recess only for supporting the shank or axis of the key, while the only opening for the admission of the key to the interior of the lock, whereby its wards or bolt may be operated or controlled, is upon the interior of the lock-case, so that there is no possibility of introducing . . . picking devices therein, or of introducing any explosive agents" (lines 15-27).
