Patent for certain new and useful improvements in boiler flue cleaning devices, including instructions and illustrations.

Patent for new and improved animal shears. This design is "of a platinum or other wire or conductor heated to a high temperature, sufficient to burn through the fibers of the wool or hair, and [is] passed over the surface of the body as close as may be deemed desirable to the roots. No injurious effects are produced upon the animal or upon the wool or hair removed, while at the same time the same may be removed with great uniformity and expedition" (lines 28-36).

Patent for a new and improved apparatus for impregnating liquids with gases. This design "relates to apparatus for impregnating water or other suitable liquid with the fumes emanating from the consumption of a combustible composition of matter, such as sulphur, which when ignited emits a gas containing suitable medicinal qualities" (lines 14-19). It consists in "the closed reservoir for containing the liquid, having windows upon opposite walls thereof, of the transverse beam having its ends supported in said windows, the sulphur-containing vessel . . . the man-hole, the air-hole, and cocks" (lines 4-10).

Patent for improvements in ledgers by giving each column in a ledger sheet a “label” such as customer’s name, daily entry, daily balance, monthly balance and etc… to record daily and monthly transactions of an individual customer's account. Illustration is included.

Patent for the improvement of the water-wheel using curved buckets over a spiral water passage to increase power and volume, including illustration.

Patent for improvements in tongue-scrapers in which it will “not only used for scraping the coating from the tongue, but also for removing the small particles from the papillae which remain after the scraping operation.” (Lines 13-16) Illustration is included.

Patent for a seed-planter designed primarily for corn, but can be used with other seeds. The primary mechanical construction consists of a wheel.
