Patent for a plow called the "The Texas Cultivator" (line 7) that uses left and right wings and diamond plows that may be used to plow either side of stock to eliminate additional operators and time for the same job, including illustration.

Patent for a new and improved breech-loading firearm. This design "consists in the devices for opening the breech-block and ejecting the cartridge-shell by one and the same motion that cocks the gun, and also in a spring and pitman arranged with the breech-block" (para. 2).

Patent for a new and improved three-wheeled vehicle. This design "has an advantage over a four-wheeled vehicle in dispensing with one wheel and one or more springs. It is more readily turned than a four-wheeled vehicle, and can more easily avoid collision with other vehicles when in motion. It also offers better facilities for entering and leaving the carriage, and a vehicle for this design and of equal strength with a four-wheeled vehicle will weigh twenty to fifty pounds less" (lines 73-82).

Patent for "a new and useful Improvement in Aqueous Paint" (lines 5-7) involving mud taken from Lake McDonald, in Austin, Texas, in combination with various admixtures of chemical and organic materials.

Patent for a new and improved gate. This design "relates to improvements in gates of that class known as 'tilting and folding' gates, and is designed to produce a gate that will automatically lock itself when down and close the passage by means which will not interfere in the least with the operation of the tilting" (lines 9-15).

Patent for a new and improved harness saddle. This design "consist[s] of the central arched portion, having the central perforation and side notches, the hook having the screw and nut and lugs, and the jockeys, the latter hinged to the arch . . . and the pads" (lines 65-70).

Patent for a new and improved sweep. This design consists "in a sweep of a suitable shape and construction having attached to each of its rear corners a vertical bar or wings, which extends parallel to the course of the plow and backward a suitable distance beyond the sweep proper . . . The object of [the] invention is to attach to the rear corners or wings of a sweep bars or runners, which rest upon the ground and steady the sweep and prevent it from wabbling or dodging while in use" (lines 14-25).
