Patent for a new and improved tank valve. This design consists in "[t]he combination, with the tank, its valve and lever, and valve-rod, of the frost-chamber having an annular space to receive the non-freezing compound, the stuffing-box around the rod and screw-threaded at the ends, and the screw-threaded caps . . . having necks and flanges" (lines 7-13).

Patent for a new and improved blind stop. This design consists in "[t]he combination, with a shutter provided with pivotal slats, of a flat spring-metal fastening-plate provided with a slot for clearing the slat-pivot, and projections upon its surface for engaging with the end of the slat, and having its rear end secured to the shutter-frame and its front end projecting beyond the plane of the shutter-frame and forming a thumb-piece for operating said spring-plate" (lines 59-67).

Patent for new "suspended cribs or cradles for the use of children" (lines 17-18) including instructions and illustrations.

Patent for a new and improved coupling for railroad cars. This design "has for its object the production of a coupling that can be easily and readily applied to the common construction of draw-heads for cars, in which the ordinary coupling link and pin are used, while combining simplicity and economy in construction and effectiveness in operation" (lines 13-19).

Patent for a new and improved induction coil. This design consists in "[t]he combination of the bent core, the primary and secondary coils wound thereon, the adjustable armature connected to one pole (to form an extension thereof) and extending over the opposite pole, and the set-screw for moving the free end of the armature toward or from the disconnected pole to establish or break the magnetic circuit" (lines 5-12).

Patent for improvements in the construction and design of well-drilling machines.

Patent for a new and improved ventilating attachment for hearths. This design "consists in extending the ventilating box or casing . . . sufficiently below the floor of the room to the hearth to which it is applied to allow it to project into the room below" (lines 19-23).

Patent for a new and improved attachment for baling presses. This design "consists of a contrivance of trampers and a crank with power mechanism for working them, in a simple arrangement for beating in the cotton on the follower preparatory to closing the press and completing the pressing by the follower, the device being calculated to enable the bales of full size to be made in a smaller case, and with less range of movement of the follower and more economically than they can be made without the tramper" (lines 8-18).

Patent for a new and improved stirrup. This design consists in "[t]he combination, with the upper tubular cross-tie, of the stirrup in open-communication through the sides of the latter and serving for attachment of the stirrup strap, of the fender and the cord, arranged to unite the upper portion of the fender to the stirrup" (lines 76-81).

Patent for improved stomach-bitters that promote and strengthen the appetite and general system, which lists the ingredients and proportions.

Patent for a new and improved whip. This design "consists in a combination, with a metallic or other rigid handle, of a whip body or core composed of cotton or other vegetable fibrous material, in one or more strands, having wire wrapped about or incorporated with them, and in the combination therewith of a vulcanized rubber covering, the fibrous material giving the necessary flexibility to the body or core of the whip and the wire applied thereto, said material protecting the latter from injury during the process of covering or vulcanizing the rubber covering" (lines 16-28).

Patent for a sewing machine "wherein the shuttle rotates...whereby the shuttle-thread at a certain time in each revolution of the shuttle is rewound upon the bobbin, which prevents the thread from twisting or untwisting" (Lines10-17).

Patent for a new and improved curry-comb. This design "has relation to that class of curry-combs provided with detachable and reversible handles, and has for its object to provide simple and effective means whereby the handle can be readily detached from the comb and replaced in a reverse position, or removed for the purpose of economizing for space in packing for transportation" (lines 17-24).
